My dwarf, Gingerbread Man, planted two years ago, just surprised me with an
iris bloom.

I tried, but someone picked the iris before I could get a picture. When we were coming home from the gym a noticed a purple iris in the front yard (NOID, came with the house, smells wonderful). I went inside and changed clothes and dried my hair then went out to take the picture. The iris was gone. A pox on some people.

I think it's odd that people think they can do that. 'It's just a flower.' Yeah? Well, it's MY flower. I had an 9 y/o neighbor kid dig up one of mine once. Shesh!

'Spring Bliss' is my over-achiever.. It's blooming down in the foliage on a swan-neck stem.... but blooming!

I've also got some dutch Iris coming on..

So far my super star is Jurassic Park. It has been blooming for over a month...although the blossoms have been under attack by snails so I have not shared many pictures. I keep killing snails...but there are so many this year...the progress is slow. Here is a bloom from today that is in a little better shape.

Another one that is doing really well is Wings of Peace. It took a really long time for the stalks to develop and open...but now they are blooming really nicely!
