Daily, the occasion arises to paste a link to a plant entry or specific pic from ATP onto Facebook. But when one pastes the link to a specific pic, it's often the case that another pic shows up in the preview on Facebook. If there's any way to fix that, I (and anyone else who finds such sharing helpful) could quit explaining that the pic I intended to share is not the one in the preview and that viewers must click on it to see the intended pic.

I've on occasion posted a link to a specific plant in the database to my FB page but I just figure if someone clicks the link they will spend time viewing all of the photos for that plant and possibly want to see more of what ATP is all about and go from there. I'm not sure but I think the photo that appears in the preview on FB will be the photo that's gotten the most thumbs up in the database ... if more are given to another photo then that photo would appear.

TY, I agree. When pasting an entry to a whole plant, any image of that plant that comes up is fine. But when trying to illustrate a particular aspect of a plant with a particular pic, it often looks like I've pasted a pic that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed.

In that discussion, I pasted links to 3 diff pics at ATP in total. The previews on FB ended up showing 2 diff pics for those 3 links, and none of the preview pics matched their link.

Those FB previews are so irritating. Sometimes they give you a choice of images to choose from, sometimes they don't give you a choice at all. But you can remove the preview entirely by clicking on its X in the top-right.

TY! I don't recall ever being given a choice of preview pic when pasting links on FB, but would be surprised if that showed up when linking to a specific pic. Choosing a preview pic could be available on other devices than a computer, or maybe a diff browser. The remove preview function is there, as seen in the pic. I wanted to show this example in case there was something that could be done about it at this end.
