If you live in an area where water costs are high, you might consider making an "accent" garden using various sedums.

Connie what a great idea. And how wonderful that you thought to take photos from beginning to end of the project. I really like the contrast of the tall S. 'Thunderhead' and S. 'Autumn Joy'. Very pretty. I look forward to seeing it fill in and spill over. What a lovely picture.

Are the leaves on the Autumn Joy always so bright green. I may need to add that one to my planting plan.

Thumbs up I really like the step-by-step photos. Very helpful. Sedum will find a place very soon in the mailbox renovation area...it's on my to-do list. That area is one of my 'no water' zones. Today I checks at Lowe's and they have a good selection of Sedum.

Not much at our Home Depot yet, at least not in the way of sedum.

Marily, S. 'Autumn Joy' lovely green leaves. The color can vary in the photos because of camera/lighting, etc. But look at these photos. Sedum (Hylotelephium spectabile 'Herbstfreude')

The more sun they get the better they stand tall without flopping. They will also bloom better with more sun.
