@GoBoldlyHomestead, Linda -- I would take a small pair of scissors and clip off the ones that are really close together, leave 2 or 3 per pot; unless you really want all of the plants; in that case, lift out a chunk of the soil with a clump of seedlings, carefully separate them, and plant so they're spaced out, making a hole in the potting medium and then gently packing it around the root. Gently holding them by a leaf is better than handling them by the stem. You may lose some of the seedlings, but if you take your time and are gentle it really isn't too hard to do. I've actually found that cabbage seedlings (and other Brassicas) do better for me when I reposition the seedlings so they are planted a little deeper than what they were at when they sprouted from the seeds.
