This NoID grows among the convallaria. Leaves are about the size of my hand from the heel of my palm to my fingertips.
I'm guessing it's H. ventricosa 'Aureomarginata.' Am I correct?

It is listed as a small and I will agree. It is a nice clean looking plant with a good growth rate and you would enjoy it in your garden Ann.

It is more likely fortunei Aureomarginata.
ventricosa Aureomarginata is shaped like ventricosa and has different coloring.

By right, you mean that it is fortunei, NOT ventricosa....aureomarginata
Your first statement in the thread is not right.

ventricosa Aureomarginata has some color blending and is creamier, lots more margin than your pic.

You probably have fortunei aureomarginata (and I can't say that is what it is for sure because there are some other hostas that look like it as well in pictures)

See, this is why I don't try identifying hostas very often. And it is also why I try to stick to the 10' rule. Smiling

Funny coincidence - I went to a plant sale on Friday and the lady had forgotten the name on one of the hostas she had kept to move with her. It was ventricosa aueromarginata. She had dug it and split off a piece to sell, then couldn't part with it. She recognized the name right away when I told her what it was. We agreed that this one was such a beauty and if if had been one of these new seedlings that breeders are creating today (not existed for many years), everyone would want one.

The lady on 1st Ave. opened up her sale again (near 24th St. SE). Had to get a few unknown asiatics, a few aliums, columbine seedlines, too.

Diann,
Did you leave anything at Web Walkway or did you buy them out? Kit and I need to stop back down there sometime and pick up some daylilies for my son and his wife. They are finishing off their back yard so we said we'd find them some.

Um, yeah, there is a lot left at Web Walk Way. I was mostly after dwarf Iris. Smiling How many daylilies do they want? I can aways dig a few chunks of mine for them. Smiling
