Oh how I appreciated seeing this thread this morning! Love seeing everyone's first blooms!

@beckygardener, Paper Butterfly is beautiful in my garden too! So glad you got it because it is a good parent as you can tell by all the kids in the database. I'm sure you will be using it a lot!

The daylilies are reaching their stride. Here are a few FFO's and some repeats that look better this week than they did earlier!

LADY WU, Kirchhoff 2002. FFO today--this cultivar never, ever blooms single.

WINGBEATS, Lambertson 2009. Also FFO today. This is a bloom machine!

SONG WRITER, Stamile 2003. FFO was 4/9 but we've had so much rain that the colors were distorted

And here is BODACIOUS BLUES--WOW!! This is it's first year in my garden.

Lady Wu, the color in the image is gorgeous, slightly darker pink petaloid stamens and edges on the petals and sepals, nice. Dragonfly Dawn definitely showing off

David did a good job on Lady Wu! It's an oldie, but just lovely.

The colors on my pics are not doctored. Often, I'll bring a bloom into the computer room so I can match it up if the light is dull outside. It was this a.m.

Champagne Elegance was my first named daylily to bloom but the rain pounded it completely.This is the first named daylily I have been able to take a photo of.

Beautiful pictures everyone!

I only have two--rest of the pics were not on color and wouldn't get on color or the thrips got them. Anyway, Voila Francois bloomed beautifully today. Looking like he was praising the Gods of Spring!

Mint Octopus really, really put on a show and no rain to ruin the blooms

I Love Buddy's Betsy! Parent plants are no slouches in their own right either.

Height, bloom size, rebloom and branching all just add to that flower. I see a great front porch/walkway "welcome" plant. I enjoy my Baja near my front porch steps but might have to change up. The whole plant picture in the database shows good matching color without being dead-headed. Nice!
