That is what I am interested in also, a long bloom period. But, I want more than just one or two blooms at a time during that period. I want daylilies with lots of blooms over a long period of time, rust resistant, forms clumps in a short period, foliage always looks great...etc., well somehow I always seem to want more out of a plant than they can provide.

LOL Larry! I think we all want perfection. Since daylilies are not widely grown in my area, I have to adapt my expectations to what is acceptable for me, specifically. It's not a garden friendly climate here, so I have to adapt and modify where I can and go from there. In the beginning, different cultivars will be compared to each other and I propose to give them multiple seasons for that since those seasons provide a lot of erratic conditions they will have to contend with. For instance, a bad hail storm on the early bloomers would give the advantage to later ones that waited 'til after the hail to put up scapes. It will take some time to make a valid comparison between plants. That's assuming I like the blooms equally. That preference probably won't take as long.
