This is my first bloom from this iris received in a swap. I really, really like it. What's its name?

I mainly grow Tall Bearded iris. This one looks to be a different variety...so I can't help you either. Sorry! I hope someone out there can at least narrow down the possibilities for you.

What do you say gang? This doesn't look like a PCN, a Louisiana, a Japanese, a spuria, a flattie, or a siberian to me...but I'm a novice on all these. Could it be a species iris?

I think that will be Iris tectorum, commonly called Japanese roof iris.
