In a podcast episode a couple weeks ago, Dave mentioned his technique of weeding using a sharp shovel. We recently had to weed out a pretty bad bed of tall grass, and we took a video so we can demonstrate the technique for you.
I was using your two person weeding method again earlier this week. The first day I thought my shovel was sharp enough. The second day I decided to sharpen it anyway. OMG what a difference. Next time I am weeding at our community garden I'll be taking the file with me. You can't really emphasize enough how much that matters.
