This Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi grew over a foot taller while inside over winter. Unfortunately, the minor breeze from a ceiling fan wasn't enough to cause it to become strong enough to hold itself up while outside in real wind. And answers the question of how tall it will get. LOL! Time to cut this off & propagate, again.

LOL! The urge to chop it would have become overwhelming soon anyway... it's just the way I roll, keeping myself amused. Hope your upcoming winter is more pleasant than the one that just finished up here. Good luck!

BTW, Tiffany, how tall did it get before falling over? I don't think I have that plant, but I love the way it looks with it's scalloped edges. I'll have to look into getting one.

I'm so glad you asked that. I got busy with other projects over the weekend & forgot I want to trim this off.

Looks like it was about 16-17" tall.

Removed piece:

Removed the 6 leaves from the bottom 3 nodes. Will allow to callous overnight, then place stem somewhere tomorrow. Leaves should grow plantlets, as others have in the past.
