I am really interested in collecting daylilies with larger flowers, and want to add some in all categories. I would love to hear what your favorites are, and how they hold up in rain and hot sun.

I'm interested to see responses to this as well. My purchases this spring really focused on large flowers, especially ones from Paul Owen. Will have to see how they hold up in rain and sun by me...
Hmmmm. I'll have to think about this but the three that jump to mind are SILOAM GOLIATH, LINDA'S MAGIC and DIFFERENT DIRECTION. Both have nice consistent, large blooms and are hardy here.
I think you have to take form into consideration when you are talking about size. As kidfishing mentioned spiders and other forms do not have the same effect in the garden, even if the size of the bloom is listed the same.
If you want extremely large blooms, here are the three I think of right away, although they are more expensive depending on the source -- but what garden impact!
AMETHYST PRISM - My favorite at about 9"
AZURE PRISM - Slightly smaller blooms and the scapes are a few inches shorter
And here are two that I always think of as "dinner plates" when they bloom. The plants are shorter and the blooms really aren't all that huge, but they have great impact.
Two I have and really like are, Ruby Spider 9" red and Highland Pinched Fingers 7 1/2" orange. I can see Highland Pinched fingers from almost a half mile away when driving home. It is a very bright, flaming orange, that holds up great in the hot sun here, I will always have this one. Ruby Spider also holds up well in the hot sun here, and grabs your attention with its shear size and reminds me of a pin wheel. We rarely get rain during bloom season here, so can't tell you how they hold up to it. Both have multiplied and performed well for me in my zone 5b/6a garden. You can find them for very reasonable prices, I also have both available for trade.
This was my favorite big bloom last year. It is a seedling of mine, blooming for the first time last summer. Princess Di x Adventures with Jellymaker. It measured in at 7 1/4 inches to the recurved ends. Have to see how the blooms change as it matures over the next couple years. It's fairly tall and had a good bud count.
Betty, your flowers are all so pretty , but I just love Azure Prism. I have nothing in those colors.
Gale, I just love your Highland Pinched Fingers and would love to trade something. It is so nice to see something grow in my garden and know it came from another gardener. I have Ruby and it's one if my favs. It does a lot of cool things as far as petal numbers go!!
Ken, that is such a gorgeous seedling. I was a huge fan of Princess Diana and you should expect no less with a namesake like that.

Karen, I have a plant list, take a look and see if there may be anything else you would be interested in, I will take a look at yours. I'm sure we can come up with a great trade.

Karen in case you haven't heard, Webster's Pink Wonder recently won the Stout Medal. I don't have that one but, I have always admired it. I can vouch for Solar Music and My Cup Overflow.
