I have never seen a squirrel eat apples
but this one brought me joy watching her turn the apple
and munch on it ..it was suppose to be for the does and
fawns that come each day !

Great pics, Sheri! There are a lot of wild apple trees growing on my property, and I sometimes see half-eaten apples lodged way up in other trees, so probably the squirrels have left them there. I thought it was unlikely to be raccoons, as they have a sweet tooth, and wild apples are really sour.
