Terrific, Jasmin! Thanks so much.

Neal has also submitted his article already. It's time for the rest of the article writers to start on the finishing touches.

Rita .. they'll get going when they are ready ... Smiling The usual triggers are soil temperatures, ambient temps and daylight hours. They won't use the food you've provided until all systems are go.

You are having a late spring this year. I had an early one. The weather its nuts ... Big Grin

I have 'Green Ice' in a container. Last year the plant didn't show much growth until near the end of May:

Here's the same rose fully leafed out six weeks earlier than last year. The buds are about to pop:

It feels like I am working in a totally different garden.

Do you need me to add any finishing touches? Is there anything that you would like to edit? Thanks!

We are having a totally late spring. The roses are showing leaf buds now but aren't even leafed out yet. I can't ever remember that happening this late in the year. Makes me think the spring bloom will be really late this year as I don't see how they can catch up to bloom in earliest June as usual.

Anyway, I had to cut them back and cut out so much winter damage I figgured the Rose Tone would help provide a healthy start for spring.

As to late spring again, my daffs just recently started. My February Gold started two days ago and as the name implies they often bloom at the end of February. Not this year!

I took this at dusk after work yesterday so not enough light to really make sharp shots but this is Lady Emma Hamilton in the background, always with the deep bronze new growth.

Sue, the color echo of the spirea new growth with WBY rose is wonderful!

I saw a bunch of Lemon Fizz roses at the garden center the other day, and was impressed by how well the blooms hold the rich yellow color without fading. I'm not often into single blooms, but kept thinking about it and went back and picked one up. Got it planted the next day, and it keeps striking me as funny seeing a rose blooming with tulips and daffs. The mature blooms look paler in the photo than they really are.

No need for you to do anything else with the article, Jasmin. The photos are stunning! Thank you.

Zuzu,
I won't have time to get anything ready for the Rose week articles. I've taken on too much again this year and I'm getting that horrible, overwhelming, suffocating feeling. Work deadlines keep getting moved up on me. Crying Crying Angry

Get rid of "that horrible, overwhelming, suffocating feeling," Cindi. We have enough articles now. Write one at your leisure for next year. Smiling

I feel bad not having done an article for this year as I always do something for Rose Week these past years. But I truly don't have any ideas this year. Good to hear that the articles are covered!

No one should feel bad! You've all been champions all along. Some older articles will be featured again this year for the benefit of new members who haven't seen them, so we don't need as many as usual. Smiling

@Jasmin: "rose snobbery" is just like any other kind of snobbery...usually referring to gardeners who think their roses are the only ones worth growing or that theirs are superior to anyone else's. You won't find any rose snobs here. Thumbs up

Got it! Thank You!

I wish I can participate in plant exchange, but we cannot send plants across the border. Sighing!

And thank you for the explantion of the term "rose snobbery". I also heard BBC gardeners talking about this. It's kind of universal - present evrywhere. Hilarious!
