And the second problem. I was so excited to come home and see SDB High Wire was opening! Problem is that it is not High Wire! Sad

It has the coloring of High Wire but the beards are white with yellow at the throat, and High Wire's beards are violet. Of course I need to see it fully open, but I don't believe the beards are going to change color over night! Hilarious!

For all the world it looks like Lucy's SDB Reddy Set! And a bit redder than the pictures appear. Will post fully open tomorrow.

"Grindelwald" is the correct spelling! It is a fast grower too. If "Dumbledore" has Apparated from your garden; I will gladly replace it(him). Thumbs up

Thanks. I knew I spelled Grindy wrong. My bad. But I sure hope the headmaster re-apparates!

Do you have Making Eyes? It's a Blyth & looks a lot like your mystery plant. I would have to look up the beards, though.

Here is the newest photo of Making Eyes in my garden. It is less similar to yours Leslie, than Reddy Set is. When fully open each fall has a dip in the middle edge. And it is definitely a shale of purple instead of red. Whatever yours is its a beautiful little iris.

I do not have Making Eyes, or Reddy set. I went to the vendor's website and see that they are not carrying "High Wire" this year. I wonder if that is because the plants were wrong last year. They didn't have any other SDB similar to High Wire either.

And High Wire is such a beauty. But if you let the little new NoID make increases I would love to have to have it added to the share list. smiles

The thunderstorm we had last night really tattered my Reddy Set/Making Eyes Noid. Hope it dries out a bit so I can get some more shots. It does have another bub about to bloom so that will help!

Smart & Ninja Turtles & Cats Eye have tons of buds about to pop!!! And the maiden bloom of Quench!!!!!!! It has deep blue showing on the bud. I am really looking forward to seeing this one!

I have several that I bought last year that are not the correct iris.

Absolute Joy
Cameo Queen
Candy Queen
..... so far.

I guess it was just a bad year for getting them switched. I really wanted to see the C. Queens in bloom.

Sure is a kill joy after the excitement of waiting for a maiden bloom to open! But at least I like my newest little Noid quite well.

Now we just have to hope that Nosferatu decided to show up for you! Did the Queens look anything like they were suppose to?

Some new ones today!

SDB Killarney Green is almost there:

As is SDB Quench (nice rich color):

Also a couple more shots of the High Wire Noid. The rain did a number on it, but you can see how reddish the falls are better.

Aladdin's Flame opened today. A couple of bloom shots:

Pic of the entire plant:

The color was richer when dry than after it was rained on.

Oh, beautiful, Leslie. Your Alladin's Flame has the nicest beard. You will have to call your NoID Low Wire.

Hilarious! Bonnie! It is a pretty thing no matter what. I have a few more blooms on it so it will have a chance to show it's full beauty.

BTW Bonnie, Guise has very large buds, and lots of them. Coming soon!
