I thought I had this identified, but was wrong. Can someone tell me what it is. Growing in Coffee county alabama, dies back in the winter comes back in the spring. Does well in sun or shade, lives and multiplies in bogs or well drained soil.

Southern Wood Fern (Thelypteris kunthii) looks to be a possible match.

I seem to get more forgetful everyday, upon the suggestion of HamiltonSquare, I looked again at Southern Wood Fern, then looked at the posts related to it and saw where last year I was trying to identify the same fern. I decided that my fern was not Thelypteris kunthii, because the database says later in the season it has a bronze cast. I had not noticed that, with my fern. But I now think the reason it takes on a bronze cast is because of the sori changing colors and giving it that appearance to a certain degree.Maybe it is very late in the season and I thought the plant was just turning brown and withering for the winter. Anyhow looking very closely at the leaves and the sori and reading about the plant I do now think it is Southern Wood fern.
I will let this post stand for a while and if I get no further questions I will move my photos to Southern Wood fern.
