All nice. Please add them to the database even if you don't have time to fill in all the information.

Did anyone else see Empress Wu on White Flower Farm 2010 spring catalog?
http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com...

Woo- now that's one big mama! How old do you think that plants is?
I wonder if people will be disappointed in getting the tiny start as their order?

lol, someone just told me it should have been "Wuuuuuuuuu - now that's one big mama"
Is that how she got her name?

I'd have to give up three or four other hostas to make room for that baby. Ain't gonna happen, unfortunately.

I did like that one when I saw it in Naylor's catalog a few yrs ago... that one and Viking Ship really caught my eye... but I'd have room for VS where EW would take up a whole bunch of room.

That's the picture of EW's hybridizer and creator Brian Skags. (I think I might have spelled that name correctly) Anyway, he said EW was about six years old when that picture was taken. I have two EW's, and we'll see how they do this year. The first EW came from Naylor Creek and the second one came from Web Walkway in Coralville. One of the guys on the hosta forum on DG has a cross of EW and a blue hosta currently in tissue culture. I think he's calling it Blue Wu..
