I only have one head planter, "Spike!" Found him at Hobby Lobby many years ago. He has a spot on a table by the pond. I've enjoyed seeing all the heads here. Might have to find Spike a girlfriend.

I'm sure Spike was 40% off of something. Eventually everything in that store is! I will tell DH that I was told I "have to" find Spike a lady friend! Whistling

Why are these so hard to find and so bloody pricey?
I've been hunting head pots for years!
I've baulked at everyone so far over the price, not that I've had many chances... With the plant I grow, I could make some killer hairstyles for the pots...
A few hours from here there's atleast 2 places that pour concrete statues.., I've not been for years, no idea if that's something they carry, but it's worth a shot... They're very nice and have thousands of different molds, I might be able to talk them into buying some molds just for me.
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Here's the prototype of my new range of head planters . Not quite as nice as "Spike" but we all have to start somewhere.

Love that girl! Donkey tail succulent is a suggestion for her hair. I think she'd look good with any hairdo!

Sandi, the donkey tail is a great suggestion . I must look out for it in the garden centres. It's not fully hardy here but being in a pot can be brought indoors easily.
Saw these far eastern imports today , rather pricey too I may add .

I will keep looking for head planters and get one or more in the future. Everyone here gave me some good ideas. Thank You!

@Paddy I love those pots! I remembered I had entered "Spike" in a garden show a few years ago with donkey tail bangs and sideburns. By the time we drove to the show, he had "bed head." He rolled on the car floor. Not a pretty sight.

Yes, Spike has several hairdos that he likes to show off!

Here's a head, but it isn't a planter, in my back yard. 'Lives in a four foot tall pot with hydrangeas.
