I thought I lost this plant a couple winters ago...I absolutely lost the ID tag for it. I think it is Bignonia violacea, which I see is now called Clytostoma callistegioides. The leaves are opposite, glossy, 4 inches long and 1.25 inches wide on a woody climbing stem. The flowers are tubular, violet with a white outside and fine lines around the throat.

From what I see in the database, this is a Clytostoma callistegioides .

That is what I thought also Lin. Funny how there is such a difference in names, but color seems the only difference in plants.. Shrug!

I thought it was Podranea also when I first saw the bloom, but the foliage identifies it as Clytostoma.
