Oh no! That's very sad, Oerickson. I have some one-inch sprouts if you're really, really desperate!

I also have a lot of foxglove seedlings, a pink standard biennial, if anyone wants a few. I seed-snatched my way across England last summer so this is "Castle Howard" Foxglove

I'm almost done with potting my plants for the swap. FYI anyone making requests from Wednesday on, if it isn't something already prepped for the swap I may not get to it.

I have not checked here in a while! Wow! It's really heated up!

Sadly, I won't have daylilies for everyone who asked. I'll do my best but they were not big clumps to begin with. I have more Chicago Royal than anything else.

Ellen, Chicago Royal Is burgundy/purple. I've attached a photo in my post above, but it always looks lighter in photos (more pink) than it is in reality. The real color is much deeper. The petals have no orange but the throat (like many daylilies) looks yellow/orange. Let me know if you are still interested.

Seedrat, I'd love a pink standard biennial foxglove.

Gonative, I would really like a Columbine A. canadensis and some of your flagstones.

crtvdsn, I didn't know you could grow Black Lace Sambucus from cuttings. Great! I feel so greedy, but I'd like to try some.

Does anyone have any ferns? I had not asked specifically, because I have always found them there from somebody. I only ask because my husband said, who is a man of few words, said, “That spot under the pine tree is bare. You need ferns. ” They don’t need to be potted…just thrown in a bag. Given his statement, he can be asked to plant them immediately. Big Grin

Thank You!

Jasmine, could I please have some of the mesclun mix?

Crtv, Jasmine and Linnea, I'll bring some foxglove seedlings for you

Crtv, would you mind setting aside a cucumber or two for me? Thanks. Also, GoNative is the one who is bringing some allium

Linnea, I have a small fern (grows to about 8 inches) that I dropped and all the fronds broke off, so it won't look like much but it will be fine.

Thanks, Seedrat!

I think I have everything potted up now, except for the white daffodils. Apart from the requests already received, I have extra of these, if anyone wants to claim them:

Autumn Joy Sedum, Persicaria Polymorpha, Solidago rugosa, Drumstick Allium seedlings, Variegated money plant (biennial, bright maroon flowers), 1 small Husker’s Red Penstemon, dwarf alpine columbine (purple), and one more Lemon with Melon daylily.

I have a strange request: can anyone bring some clay soil for me? The harder and clay-ier the better! Even a pot's-worth, if a couple of you bring some, it will add up! I am trying a clematis again, and they just don't seem to like sandy soil (except Sweet Autumn). They at least survive in my mom's sandy soil, but my yard has swallowed 2 clematis so far. I've bought a jackmanni, which was the rampant clematis at my childhood home with Chicago clay soil. I want it to succeed!

Bring a jacket for Friday, the breeze may make it a little chilly!

FINALLY! Like Annette, I had a hard time getting on to the site.

I will be bringing odds 'n ends, snacky thingies, Stella de Oro daylillies, Hosta Alba, White Lilly of the Valley, Spearmint.
Will list flower seeds as soon as I can put them in order : )

Linnea - I was hoping to get some of your dailyness, but I saw your recent post. If you can spare Chicago Royal, that would be wonderful. Any other, a true bonus! Did you also list Centaurea Montana? Would love those!

Staggered - You got it! I can "dig" up some clay soil for you from my sister's. I'll put my new Cobrahead to work and see what all the rave is about.

Linnea, yes please to Chicago Royal, sounds like great coloring! Stage rat if any left- foxglove is something I love. I will be checking on requests all the way till Friday and seeing what else I have to share. Dug out few anemones but fair warning- those beauties sulk for weeks and need lots of TLC, they spread by rhizomes. It was so cold that jack in pulpit just now is growing up. Have some wintersown seedlings blue flax, few primula Danova series, and Salvia Merleue blue. Double flowering Stylophorum diphyllum still yet to be dug up. Picture below.
Chionodoxa is blue.
Yeah, my tomatoes will be bunch of ugly ducklings as there is some leaf burn but they will recover. Have some fabulous varieties so am thinking still bringing most of tomatoes in anyway. Will have few squash, zukes and cukes, hopefully with this cold weather they will do fine. Cukes are out of this world- Piccolo DiParigi, real deal for pickle lovers, I grew them last year.
Anyone looking for perennial poppy of orange color?

rereading some, Linnea, f you can spare silene- love it, and daffodils, those I got before doing so well! Stagerat- if any left, raspberry, gooseberry and feverfew. The ones I got couple of years ago disappeared- pity as they were excellent. Jasmine- a bit of pond plant if still avail would love some. I might have tiny bit of silvery lamium, it does not do well for me, more of regular kind.

WOW, I travel for a few days and look at all the posts!

Linnea - I have some Ostrich ferns i can dig up for you if you want them. I'm pulling them all up because i'm losing the trees in my shade garden. Some i'm giving to a friend, but i'm sure i'll have a few left. If you have any of your daylillies left, i would gladly take them. I'm gardening for two this year - no, we're not prego; but my friend in Evanston needs gardening help so we're starting from scratch. =)

I have Columbine growing from which i can pluck seed pods later this season if anyone is interested. i'll take pictures today and post. I literally just plucked seed pods from any columbines in the neighborhood that i saw and sprinkled them in my garden. Gangbusters this year.

I will also take some white daffodils if they're still available.

OH, and i'll dig up my raspberries as well. I don't remember what kind; i think i planted them last year from the swap. They're huge, but their spot is being used for a new garage so they could go to a new home until I can figure out where my edibles will live.

Annette, Yes I will bring mesclun mix.

Ellen, may I have some primula Danova series, Salvia Merleue blue, perennial poppy orange, some big slicing tomatoes and blue flax? Thank you so much

Ellen, I will bring raspberry, gooseberry (pixwell) very heavy producer and pond plant (umbrella palm) for you. Just a note: Umbrella palm can't survive in pond during winter but needs to come indoors for winter.

Linnea, may I have some Drumstick Allium seedlings? Thank you so much

OErickson, someone else offered Gooseberry, not me, sorry!
I may have a potted raspberry already, if not I will bring you some later, or RolRod will bring some--unless you're OK with them looking terrible, they always droop a lot immediately after digging.
I will bring you some foxgloves, both kinds, right?
And I'd love a couple of your pickling cukes, please, and a zucchini. Thank you!

Luvtogarden, thank you, I would love to get that clay soil. And I knew that "staggered" was me Smiling

Ellen, I have Chicago Royal potted up for you. Also silene. I can also give you a pie tin of silene seedlings if you want a lot. I have you down for daffodils. I’m interested in the seedlings of blue flax, primula Danova, and Salvia Merleue blue. Priority to primula.

What is the ferny looking purple leaved plant at photo # 3? I could use purple/dark foliage!

Luvtogarden, I’ll reserve the remaining Lemon with Melon Daylily for you. And a Chicago Royal. And 1 or 2 small pots Centaurea Montana. They were tall, and wilted big time : but should be fine in time.

Rolrod, I’d love the Ostrich ferns! Thank you! Are they the tall kind, that gets to be over 3 feet, or the short, under 2 feet? I can use either one, just need to know whether to site them at the front or the back. I’m interested in the columbine seeds when you have them. I have a lot of dwarf alpine blue but little else. I have you down for daffodils. I’ll try for another Chicago Royal.

Jasmine, I'll have Drumstick Allium seedlings for you, as well as the daylilies and daffodils.

FWIW, many of the daylily divisions will be small, since so many wanted them. But they are vigorous tetraploids, and fast growers. They might not bloom this year: I’ve never divided in May before.

Does anyone care if the daffodils are just in a bag? Due to the long foliage, they won’t stand up in a pot after digging. Since they still need to ripen, I’m not digging them til Friday morning, and trying to minimize bending of leaves. But if you won’t get to them right away, I’ll pot them. Let me know here by Friday morning.
