Have any of you tried spraying a hosta with Configure to increase the number of divisions you can take? I have used it on Semperviums and Echinacea and it's amazing!

Configure is a synthetic form of benzyladenine (6-BA). I bought some and I mix it up when I need it.

I think there was a discussion on another forum last year (maybe Hallsons?). I think people saw a difference, if I remember right (and I don't always).

I ordered it from Fine Americas.. Here's a link to the article I wrote about it in 2010. I even posted some photos showing how it worked on various Echinacea cultivars. I didn't try it on Hostas, but the instructions that come with it tell concentrations for Hostas.

It might be similar, but I think it probably works better.

I've seen that on LA before. Some people guarantee that they have a BAP free garden. As a buyer why is it important for me to choose BAP free plants. Is it bad?

BAP is nothing but a growth stimulant, I use it every year and it works great to produce more eyes in hostas, not so grt on daylilies. Nothing wrong with BAP to say "your free of it"

Well thank you! I just might try it sometime. Where do you buy it? Confused
