Not to rain on your parade, but that doesn't appear to be Dangerous Mood. It has very dark beards:

The one on the left looks a lot like Wild Jasmine.

Ashton - It could be "High Class". The only issue is that HC is a Mid-Late so it might not fit. Check it out. I think the Falls are a bit more ruffled on High Class too than what you have pictured; but that could be just that plant "issues" with moisture/sunlight/fertilizer/ect.

Kent, it's pouring!
Maybe being put in a bag months made the color lighter? Hilarious! not likely.
Well, they had me fooled for two years. I wonder how come I never put it in the database.

Greg,
It looks very similar to High Class.
In my picture it shows more of a blue edge, it was more purple in person.
I think it was blooming late last year, but I moved it and it's not going to bloom this year.

My daughter sent me a set of reblooming irises called "Twice as Nice" collection several years back from Brecks. I think of the 12 irises, only three turned out to really be what they were named. So even those places are not guaranteed to be true to name. One or two were quite pretty but definitely not what the tag said. Many years back I used to buy those before I joined iris society and cared what the name was. Very few were ever what they said but most of them did live. Just depends if you want to show them or trade them with those who care.
I too bought the Dangerous Mood last year so we shall see what it turns out to look like. I never pass off my mistakes to others, however, so it will just be one to enjoy or give away to someone who just likes plants.

Yeah, Rita did both the "Brecks" , as well as the "Spring Hill" thing, too ! (they are actually the same company)....on sale ! Regular $8.99, now only $6.99...out of 10, only 8 survived....and 2 of those were 'wrong"(that was Brecks). Spring Hill did a LITTLE better, I guess....They all survived, but they all took two years to bloom, and there was only one "wrong" out of 12.

I think they print a number of boxes and they fill them with what ever they have. They know that people are going to just accept what they get, and they walk away with your money. It's all about money now days, and they take it in any quantity they can get it. If I see those things in any store I look at them and laugh. I would guess some of those rhizomes are more then a year out of the ground the way they look.

The REALLY fun part of all this is, for me anyway, our Walmarts put out iris for sale in these bags and you can clearly see they are dried up and dead. They're hard as rocks. They put the same ones out each year. I sit in one of the patio chairs for sale and see how many people I can discourage from buying them. I've given up trying to get them to stop selling them. It amazes me that, even after I tell peeps, they buy them anyway. Shrug! Hilarious!

One good thing about Walmart is that the back of the cardboard has a money back guarantee for 1 year so you can get your money back for a dead bulb/rhizome if you save the receipt and take it within a year.
I had Brecks replace 3 of mine and they were wrong also. Mother Earth has yet to bloom and it has been 5 years!
