It's an 8 x 16 foot Montecello Greenhouse with double doors.

I was going to do a time lapse video but forgot .. anyway the pictures is of what we built yesterday .. hopefully we'll get the roof on and finish it today. Whew! I'm tired!

Looking good, Anne. Thumbs up How did you construct your foundation? What are you doing for flooring? \

After having an electrician run electrical to my two greenhouses (two dedicated circuits with their own breakers), I found that he had terribly underestimated the amount of load there would be (heaters, lights, fans). I suggest that you have twice the breaker capacity that your electrician thinks you will need unless you are not using electric heaters.

We constructed it on a wood frame ... once it's completely finished I'll put a concrete skirt around the wood.

Still trying to decide what to do about the floor. Luckily one of my good friends is a master electrician and she's going to run electric out there when everything is done.

I have been very pleased with the results of my cedar subfloor and permeable-fabric floor. It is easy on my feet/legs and since it absorbs water, by slowly releasing water vapor, the humidity is raised. My tropical plants and vegetable seedlings like that. Thumbs up It is an inexpensive alternative to brick/gravel/sand flooring.

Sounds good .. could you be a bit more specific - cedar subfloor as in cedar mulch? I'm definitely going to be putting on the permeable fabric floor.

Yes, I buy cypress mulch (not cedar as I stated.....sorry, I'm old Sighing! ) by the yard at our local Co-Op. I think cypress lasts longer than pine or typical hardwood mulch. I simply placed around 6" of the cypress mulch down (I sit on clay and it just doesn't drain) and then the fabric flooring. That mulch will ultimately become nice, organic compost and when it does that, I just pull the fabric back and replenish the cypress. I just did that in both greenhouses, now that they are mostly emptied of plants. Cypress mulch can also be found at Lowes in 2 and 3 cf. bags, and it is pretty good quality.

Hurray! Awesome undertaking, Anne! Thumbs up It looks amazing already! I used the same little wooden folding tables while building ours. It was so handy to just move it to where I needed it. It looks like you'll be finished in no time. Please keep us posted.

Almost finished. It's been mostly a nightmare - lots of fittings and things don't fit very well .. poorly manufactured parts.

They really need to do a quality check on the parts that are manufactured. The spaces for the panels on all 4 corner posts were way too small and each corner took over an hour each to get put together.

Anne, did you have to trim some of the panels, then? It's a pain to have to improvise and make modifications -- but that looks like it's going to be a really nice GH once it's done!

Thanks everyone. There was a choice between silver and black frame .. definitely the black frame for me! I think I'm going to use Ken's idea for the floor - definitely cheaper than anything else for sure and 'recyclable'.

It's 95% finished except for one vent which apparently was damaged in shipping and the door handles that didn't match the holes that were pre-drilled. They are sending a new vent and door handles. I don't like the way the vents are done as they are totally controlled by the automatic opener. I need to figure out an easy way to bypass them somehow so I can open and close them manually if I want. It took 2, 10 hour days to build this.

Sandy we were trimming, sanding, crimping and even melting some of the panel ends to get them in the grooves .. I'll say this though Customer Service for this company is good. You can pretty much call them 24/7 when you run into problems.
