And they are beautiful plants too. Love those bright red stems!

I do grow egg plant plants in containers too.
But I seldom get fruit. But that is okay as I like the plants.
I have my own seedlings started for this year.
That happened because I found a FreeBee packet from 2009.
And was pleasantly surprised that the 6 year old seeds germinated.
Usually I just buy the plants from a garden center.

Caroline I wonder if your lack of fruit is because those plants are not hot enough. Eggplants do love the heat. I have found that the container plants in pots on the hot asphalt driveway do much better for me that the ones in ground.

Joy, I agree they are lovely plants. I do really like the flowers too but I want the fruits ha-ha!

Mine are in pots on concrete driveway---
but they have been somewhat neglected when i went on an impromtu holiday!
Usually there are flowers---may have been too wet this last while?

Or too dry. Eggplants hate to dry out.

I grew two Rosa Bianca eggplants in the ground this season and two in one-gallon pots. The ones in the ground had averaged 3 fruit per plant and the potted ones had just two which were slightly smaller. Probably a bigger pot would be better. Good support is needed since the ones in pots broke the twigs i used to prop them up and flopped over.
