Inflorescence Type: Raceme

I was looking up the Hosta I was buying because the pictures on here show better then their websites and seen "Inflorescence Type: Raceme" what does it mean?

Nothing special and I only had Kiwi Full Monty. They should dress up those shady zones on the north side of the house under two trees.

Ordered
Abiqua Drinking Gourd
Abiqua Blue Madonna
Gold Standard x 2
Variegated x 2
Wide Brim x 2
Pearl Lake

This is a quote:
"a long unbranched stem with stalked flowers growing along it)"

To me that means the hosta stem that holds the blooms.
