Amber, love that male Ruby-throated Hummingbird! I've seen a few hummers here this spring but I've been too slow in grabbing my camera for a picture before they zip away.

Earlier today when I was working in the yard a female and a juvenile Red-bellied Woodpecker stopped by. The baby was clinging to a Palm Tree while mama went back and forth to the feeder getting food for it. I didn't have my camera outside at that point but I went back outside a little while ago and got a few pic's. Spotted a tiny hummer but it zoomed off even before I could point the camera at it.

Ann, it does look like it. Has the eye stripe and everything. My computer is AWOL right now and I'm too tired to go back and look at last month's thread. Mom and I are plotting a food run right now. She wants donuts, for some reason. And who am I to judge? (I'm one to join in!)

I saw a hummingbird today but no chance of getting a picture. It was on the firebush which is right in front of my house. I tried sneaking around the cars in the driveway but they always see you coming. And then it went high up into the oak tree and mocked me from above. It was probably mad at me for hanging out in the front of the house today. I was working on my bromeliads and moving them to a different location. It was when I was walking back across the yard I spotted the hummingbird. I bet it was just waiting for the human to leave so it could hit up my tasty firebush.

Margaret, Canadian birds are pretty. I especially like the Yellow-Headed Blackbird. We sent all our Canadian snowbirds back your way, but we'll be accepting them back around October.

we have Cooper's hanging around a lot lately but it just won't pose for me!

LOL not sure how the double post happened!

I have not gotten any photos yet and it is not in my back yard, but on one route I take into Greencastle I am seeing Meadow Larks regularly.

That darn tablet again Claudia.

Cute little warbler busy cleaning up bugs, I didn't see him long enough to do an ID.
