We found that while effective for a while, the animals soon became wary of the location and would avoid only that area. The lights and water units were the same, as the critters became used to the lights and spray and would avoid those areas. Depending on the size of the area you want to cover, it may require more units than you care to purchase with its' 30 ft coverage.

Jean is right. Deer get used to the smell.
I had used Liquid Fence and Repellzall for fivel years.
Deer just got used to it and eat what they please.
Repellzall does slow down the rabbits.

Blood Meal also tends to keep rabbits away from lilies, which they love. It's just difficult to keep up with putting the blood meal on the lilies (at least weekly) to keep all the new growth covered with it.

Like Jo Ann, we've used so many repellant sprays and the deer do get used to them.
