Hello, I have a young woody perennial growing on my property in Polk County, North Carolina (southwestern NC, near Asheville). Can you help me identify it by its bloom here in early May? Thank you for your help.

Definitely looks like Indigo Bush which grows in N.C.:

Another one that grows in N.C. is A. glabra

Hi Everybody!! Let us talk native.
Yes I agree, here we call it False Indigo, Amorpha fruticosa, a very good shrub for pollinators.
