Hi Arlene,..its a big Lupine indeed,.. it has grown there for a few years i could divide it but don't have the space for new ones so i just leave it be,..next month it should look like the picture below with an added Lupine from another part of the garden,..a yellow one so they should cross and give me some other color as well.

Whoa! Those are monsters! Lupines do not like to be moved, long tap root. I have trouble growing them down here. Heat and humidity I guess. I still keep trying. I have two seedlings set out this year.

Thanks Debra,..ah yes Dennis lovable but full of mischief,..his latest pastime is playing with the chain and stopper in my bath,..he sleeps in the bathroom Rolling my eyes.
