I picked this one up today at Lowes. It says "Desert Bloom Hens and Chick. "Sempreviva Desert Bloom"

Very pretty semp Cinta. We don't know who the hybridizer is, but it is widely sold in the U.S & Europe.

Thanks Lynn. Is there a preferred name? (I'm thinking probably not). This is one of the semps that I bought several of to share at the clinic last year. They were labeled as Desert Bloom and were from Garland Nursery but propagated by the Little Prince (frog label).

Here is the thread where we researched this semp. Seems all of those names are referring to the same plant. We have it in the database under 'Desert Bloom', with all the other names it is sold as.

Oh, thanks Lynn! I think I'll just call it Desert Bloom then, since it was labeled as such. I'll keep in mind it also has other names.

It can be searched in our database under any of those names and will come up with the 'Desert Bloom' entry.

I'm busy starting all of the cukes, squash, melons and pumpkins today and it is keeping me pretty busy when I would rather be outside working.

I'm coming to live with you Connie. We aren't putting in a veggie garden this year.

Hee hee, all of these starts go to my pal out in the country towards Lebanon. He has acreage so I do the starts and he grows them out. If I want anything back I have to drive out there...

As for my own garden here, it will be three tomato plants and a few bush beans...

yeah--it looks to me like there are a few different semps involved

We will just keep adding photos through the different growing seasons and see what happens.
