Well, I now have a few more than one ticket, thanks to some people who are generous with their acorns. I've also been scouring for pics to add to the database, haha!

Okay, and of course even if I win nothing, all these vendors are ones I hope to buy from at some point, when funds and timing coincide.

Kyla, I have a lot of fun going to plant shows and botanical gardens and then uploading the pictures here. It can get you a lot of acorns, but that's not why I do it. It's also nice to go places where you know the plants are labeled correctly and if it's a plant show, you often see the best representation of the plant possible. Just protect your wallet if they're also holding a sale! But it's a great way to get out there and enjoy plants, help our database grow, and score acorns! I've actually added a lot of the first photos to some plants because they're somewhat uncommon or rare and likely only to be found somewhere like a botanical garden.

Mellie, thanks -- I would love to do that kind of touring around my area's plant shows and botanical gardens etc., but I am transportation-challenged, rely on others for rides to necessary destinations like grocery stores and all that..... When I get to go to a nursery or garden center, I rarely have time to wander and take pictures, sad to say!

Love the variety of prizes and often have plant envy when looking at the outdoor plants, bushes and trees that are available for those with outdoor space. I can only look for indoor plants. Was debating as to whether I should continue to participate since I only have a windowsill at work and not a garden or balcony. My Torrie is no longer with me as of last month, so I will be able to put plants in my apartment. Saw SRQHoyas and said to myself, Ivy..... these plants will live indoors. Buy raffles!
