Here a few more from Ottawa.

'Dee's Golden Jewel' - or at least that's what I'm calling it. It's the yellow part I separated from 'Jewel of the Nile' and it will get more yellow.

'Deja Blu' - now fairly mature. The margin will become more green around the blue leaf centre later in the season.

'Dorset Clown' in its third year.

'Dragon Tails' - a delightful mini

'Eleanor Lachman' - also in its third year and doing well.

'Emerald Ruff Cut' is filling out this year.

'Fire Island' - always the brightest spot in the garden at this time of year

'First Frost'

'Frosted Dimples'

'Frosted Mouse Ears' doing well this year. I have all my "mice" in a large planter and pot them for the winter in my veggie garden. This year, for the first time, I'm trying keeping most of them in pots all season and sinking them into the planter. I'm hoping they will grow faster if I'm not disturbing their root system twice each year.

This is a puzzle. Your thoughts are invited. 'Fire Island is obvious'. It does very well here with morning sun. two plants to the right of it is 'Paradise Island'. It's now 3 or 4 years old. It did well at first, but for the last couple of years has been decimated by slugs. It's only a couple of feet away from FI which is not bothered at all. Any thoughts? I'm thinking of growing it in a pot for awhile. BTW, that's 'Red October' to the right of and slightly behind FI. The small plant in the foreground to the right of FI is 'Charlotte's Web'. To the left of FI is 'Little Sunspot' which has not yet developed its yellow leaf centre. And behind FI is 'Christmas Pageant'.
