It might be Indian Hemp/Arrowleaf Sida/Sida rhombifolia or something very similar. Depending on your point of view it's either a weed or a useful herb.

I does look a lot like Sida rhombifolia. I have it come up my yard every year.

Ditto with sida...
It's a perennial in the deep south.

On the positive side...
It's edible and contains epherine... if you're interested in experimenting...
Personally, my tests have left me unimpressed.

We call it tea weed. It is a serious nuisance in our pastures: hard to kill, and nothing eats it once mature. You will also find it resistant to being pulled up!

because of the reddish ring in the center of the flower which Sida rhombifolia does not have maybe better call it Sida sp.?

This is a description from University of Hawaii.

"Flowers solitary at leaf axils, in clusters at end of branches, yellow to yellowish orange, often red at the base of the petals, 0.33 inches diameter, flower stalk slender, to 1.5 inches long"

Sida rhombifolia is the only species reported in TK's county and the closest match I can find of any species that grow in Texas.

It definitely grows around here. Until we learned the name Tea Weed, a common name for Sida rhombifilia, we had referred to it as Bin Laden weed. I strongly recommend you get rid of it!
