Does anybody know where I can find that article about not dividing your irises? From what I understand you just cut out the one that bloomed if that's the case what about the reblooming irises?

Once the iris rhizome blooms, it will not bloom again. That's true even on re-bloomers. I don't like to cut out the spent rhizome until it softens and dies, as it gives nourishment to the young beginning rhizomes. After it's soft and dead, then I will remove it. You might be thinking about the article that Kent wrote about thinning as apposed to dividing. I'm not sure where that is, but maybe you could search for it.

Thanks that was the article I was looking for I thought I look everywhere for it. I kind of like divdividing my irise right now. I'm working on filling in a big bank. Once I get that done I'd like to take a break for a while.Unless I find another area to fill up. I've been growing irise for a long time and never knew that thay won't bloom again. That explains alot. Thanks
