Hmmmm came home the other day with my GiantnAussie Orange all bent and slightly twisted...nothing seems to be wrong with it.

I guess it bent because it has a slim stem and is top-heavy. Shrug!

That's what I was thinking too Ken Thumbs up there is no visible damage that I can see the stem seems firm.

This has bigger leaves than any of my plumerias.

The leaves get heavy this time of year with all the rains. I would remove some of the lower leaves; staking was also a good idea of course. Thumbs up

I typically stake every single one of my plants, even my 12" tall seedlings.

Thanks Hetty and Ken! I used to stake all of mine when I had a handful, now with over 100 (mostly seedlings), I just let the seedlings bend, whatever way the want. *Blush* *Blush*

Update on my Thai Mango Brush/Blush

This color is closer to the color in person:

Interestingly enough, I found the discussion thread of the Thai Mango Brush/Blush between Brad of BBB (where I purchased the rooted cutting) and Hetty about this.
http://plumeriaforum.com/index...

This make sense to me now why it is Brush/Blush because I know some people and they have a hard time pronouncing "r" so it comes out as "l" and some that have a hard time pronouncing "l" and it comes out as "r".

Thank You! Ken, I think it will be a year or 2 before I can have a cutting on this one. It looks like I'm going to have 3 new tips on this one! Hurray! Hurray! This is almost 3 feet tall right now, it will be interesting to see if the growth tips will bloom on a shorter stalk or will it grow 6 to 7 inches before it will rebloom. Or if the new growth tips will bloom on the same year of growth (like Trimark).

Another anticipation: This is Rimfire supposed to be the US variety, which is a more superior color than the other varieties floating out there.

At least three, Gigi. In my experience (which isn't anything compared to folks like Hetty, Mark, and many others) additional tips may form over time. Sometimes, what looks like a just beginning tip will just be a leaf. Regardless, cutting a stem encourages branching and this simply produces a more dense, more esthetic tree (again, my opinion).

I agree I prefer my first cut to be multi-tip for an instant tree look. I usually wait following year to do my first cutting, then I have 2 multi tip plants , the momma plant and the baby plant.

In our Long warm weather, Per my experience Momma plant and the cutting sometimes would bloom at the same year (not always).

I have plenty to bloom each year, but my blooming cycle is generally 6-8 weeks behind those of you in zones 9-11.

Hurray! Hurray!

Good luck, Mark. I sure would like to see leaf development, though inflorescence is better than nada.

The inflo is slowing down the leaf development. I'd keep an eye on it; as a last resort, you're better off cutting off the inflo (I know, Crying VERY hard to do) in order to get a healthy plant....
