I just yanked this from a pot of bougainvillea thinking it was a weed. Now it's back in some soil. I thought I'd better all the plant Experts of ATP before discard it. Is this a plant or a weed?

It is pretty. sort of like a leafy allysum. But it was the shallow root system that made me think it was something else? Most weeds have roots that travel to Kingdom Come!

I really should have stated that it was a guess on my part because I don't know if it's Diodia, it just reminded me of something that grows in my yard at times that was identified as Virginia Buttonweed (D. virginiana). My eyes aren't what they used to be and I'm not good at comparing photos so maybe I shouldn't be trying to identify plants.
