He's right about it taking awhile to get his power back on if the poles are snapped off. They will all have to be replaced. AR will send trucks and manpower and poles as I am sure LA will. That helps and they will work almost around the clock...... unless it is storming again.

I do not know the agency for Jacksonville, but I can tell you that Oncor service folks in this area always go to heroic efforts to clean up and get power back on. I tip my hat to you.

I agree

We're on 30% reductions and you can only water your garden twice a week.

Rain is expected here tomorrow. I don't think that high winds are included.

Well it's not raining here this morning, but it's 35 degrees. It could cool down more before the sun rises. The wind is still blowing out of the North. Blinking Glare

Has been raining here since noon yesterday and still raining. The rain from Texas is coming north and hitting us. Along with the rain the temps have dropped. Only supposed to be a high of 55 today.

It's not normal, but it's happened before. I remember having a freeze in June one year about 25 years ago. But it's rare.

I try and live without air conditioning as much as I can. It helps if you work/play outdoors a lot not to get too used to it. This year I have not put away my winter clothes. I go from jeans to cut offs and sweat shirts to t shirts in one day. It is raining today. But we are going down to 10% for the next few days. Yippee!!!

35 degrees? Oh crap, Tom -- got family heading down from Minnesota -- they probably landed in your area last night. And likely didn't bring clothes for those kinds of temps. Sad

I have never lived in a cool/cold climate. We have been swimming in the pool for the past 2 days....Temps in the 90s. I think cold weather in May would possibly Sad kill me.

We have been quite dry as well. Rain said 'you want judges training in the garden? Well here I come.' Dry pants & long sleeved shirt feels nice.

Sweetie, if they are from Minnesota they already are dressed for Tom's weather. It is Kentucky and heat that are going to be the issue!!
