Just an fyi... our power is out at our house following last night's storm and I'm expecting it'll be out for many days. It seems like every power line for miles around us is down.

So if you wonder why we're not on the site much for the next few days that's why.

Hoping electric is restored soon. Even with a generator it turns your whole world upside down. Crying

I went out today and looked around the neighborhood. There are power poles snapped in half in numerous places and trees on power lines. So there are wires all over the ground. I'd love to get power back soon but I doubt it'll happen in the next couple days. 88 degrees while I'm typing this!

. Glad you're safe but sorry so uncomfortable. Getting a gas generator is one of the best things we ever did. Water for coffee and toilet, freezer power, a room light and battery charger - made everything ok Group hug

After we had a longer power outage with Hurricanes Charlie and Wilma, DH bought a portable a/c unit which we can use (powered by the generator) in the bedroom. I hope you're all going to be ok, it can be pretty miserable trying to sleep in the heat, and I'm sure the little ones Lovey dubby are cranky!
