I thought I would share what I got done in the yard yesterday. First I got the leaves put down in the vegetable garden. After I pulled all the weeds. And then I planted a purple smoke tree my wife got for my birthday. And then some type of Japanese maple. And two I think is white chocolate crepe myrtles. Which were given to me from my boss because they were half dead. That's how I get most of my plants

Well, it all looks good to me! Pretty hazy over there; is that your early morning haze? Happens like that here sometimes too.

Love the smoke tree! And I'm sure the crepe myrtles are going to love it there.

Did you see the neighboring thread about what all we've done in the garden today? You could join in there too, if you like....

Here's that link: The thread "Daily gardening thread for everyone" in All Things Gardening forum

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. The haze is just really bad sun glare. I didn't realize it was that bad until I got done and want to post the pictures.you can't tell by the pictures but I put a really thick layer of leaves down. Hopefully I won't have to pull weeds now.
Smoke trees are awesome my wife got that for me. She wanted to get me a fringe tree but couldn't find one so she got that instead.

At least there will be fewer weeds to pull, with the mulching leaves. Green Grin!
