oh my! That first one there is an epic color tragedy pirl! my heart does break for you

Well, it's New Years Eve.
No big celebration here ,just a regular day waiting for the holiday to be over so we can get back to routine.
I have enjoyed the color discussion. I agree with Pirl and Neal, soft colors can fix any situation.

I had forgotten about fireworks, I will keep an eye out, we live next to a golf course so they will probably throw a big shebang over there.
I am cooking a ham dinner and watching Captain Jack Sparrow w my dh and my poodles

Speaking of "treasured memories"...while I was getting wrapping paper from the big cedar closet I spotted a bag with Jack's original wedding album. We packaged it up and sent it off to his oldest daughter for her January 2nd birthday. She called this morning, totally elated, laughing and so joyous over the gift. She said it was the best birthday gift ever. She's the daughter who has had photo parties and I figured she could have copies made for her two sisters. I'm happy that I thought of it!

Wow! That's a beautiful story. Most people would simply have discarded something like that without thinking of others who may treasure it. Thanks for sharing it.

Catching up here. I'm in Minnesota and white goes with everything, so no colorful discussions here for the time being. I congratulate you on your anniversary, Arlene and Jack. That was a nice thing to do with the photo album!

I'd never have tossed it! So many people can enjoy it - daughters, grandchildren (8), and great grandchildren (4).
