12-30-2015 I've added some random pictures from our trip to Oregon Gardens. It was an optional tour before the AIS convention started.

I should have named the thread Pretty Iris Pictures (from the 2015 AIS Convention) to get more people to view and contribute. (A poor joke, but my title is a little on the dry side.)
I encourage anyone who attended to upload pictures. That way all the different irises can be seen.
Different irises were seen on different days, according to how they bloomed.
Not everyone can go, but this way many of the newest irises can be seen by many more people.


I recently attended the AIS National convention. It was headquartered in Portland OR but went as far a Salem for a visit to Schreiner's Iris Gardens. I have a ton of pictures. A friend of mine also has many pictures of iris and is a new ATP member. Is there any interest from anyone else to post pictures from the convention?

Does a dog have hair???? Please post away, I'd love to see them.

Please! I have family in Keizer and Portland. SIL was saying she wanted to go. She would not have taken pictures but she may be in one someone else takes.

Mine still have to be developed. The lady uses film & centered on the medians, but saw lovely plants & had fun with people.

Here's a start. We took an optional tour to the gardens of Kieth Keppel and Kevin Vaughn. Kieth's was the first garden. We didn't have near enough time there. I just barely got through his commercial planting. Never made it to the seedling bed.

Lots of the newer iris from Ghio, Johnson, Black, Schreiners and others.

For this first batch, the name is on the picture.









We saw many of these again over the next few days.

We flew in on Monday so did not get on that trip. We were at Keith's garden 10 years ago, but Kevin has retired there since then.

The photos are just wonderful, Carl. These seedlings are beautiful and are proof that the future of iris buyers and lovers, us, is going to be an exciting one!! So many to choose from and all are exceptionally lovely. I think I would lose sleep if I saw what the hybridizers tossed on the compost pile. Thank you for posting the photos.
