Welcome! Charriet! Ghio doesn't sell from a website, but you can e-mail him at [email protected] and get a catalog sent to you. I think he has a small charge for the catalog.

He doesn't have website or online catalog. The Monterey Bay Iris Society does have pictures of most of his recent introductions.

I have a scanned version of his paper catalog. Unfortunately, at 100MB, it's too big to email. Anyone here have a place it could be uploaded to?

Thank you. I sent for a catalog!

Do any of you deal directly with hybridizers out of the U.S.? I'm in
Love with the Mego Iris varieties and some of the other hybridizers in Europe. I'm aware of Bruce Filardi doing some importing. Is there anyone else?

Importing is really tough these days. Tough to find people doing it although Thomas Johnson & Paul Black have worked with the Australian plants.

I really like some of the dwarfs hybridized in Germany and France. Just have to limit myself to the thousands available here I guess.

I don't think it's too big a deal getting iris from Cayeux, in France....I think Tom ( tveguy3) has imported some......so he could tell you just what all is involved, and, I'll bet Cayeux's website explains it , as well.

Yes, I have imported from Cayeux in France, and Tempo Two in Australia. You need to get an import permit first, which is free from the Dept. of Ag. You can apply for it on line. I think Sutton is introducing some of Mego's irises too.

Does anyone import from New Zealand?

I'm waiting for someone to pick up the ball for Poland. There's a guy there -- Mihail somebody -- who hybridizes absolutely gorgeous Irises. He shows them on Facebook in the Iris Lovers group.

New Zealand has really strict import/export regulations. Don't know if that holds up iris exports though.
Mary Ann, I have seen his on Facebook too and they are really nice. Maybe Bruce Filardi or one of the other vendors that imports from Europe will start carrying his too.

I was looking for this thread last night -- I mis-remembered the Polish guys name -- it's Robert Piatek. Amazingly talented guy.

I'm not familiar with Bruce Filardi, Leslie -- can he be contacted to request representation of Piatek?

Arlyn is on top of it! If you email him, be patient. He sometimes takes a bit to get back with you.
