Quite the list Rita...do you have a method to your maddness when selecting varieties or do you simply buy a couple of every single type the local nurseries are selling?

Got my first plant setting tomatoes--my chocolate cherry has a few baby tomatoes on it
mom2goldens said:This is probably the 3rd time I've grown Chocolate Cherry....we really like the flavor, and it is a really good producer (although most cherry tomatoes are good producers, aren't they?) The only down-side, if any, is that the plants get huge. They usually outgrow my 6' tall tomato cages, and start just crawling along the top of our picket fence. Not a bad problem, overall.
Even our dogs like these....they've learned how to spot the ripe tomatoes, and just go help themselves to the ripe tomatoes as they wish.
