Pastures of Pleasure does look close, but I guess Barbara Mitchell looks a little closer.

BM is a common inexpensive dl. Sometime when you order somewhere, just tack it on an order and plant it besides yours. then you will know for sure.

I may have scored a run with the one on top of my two...

Don't think it's Daring Dilemma either. There are sooooo many that have that similar look that you may never find the exact name unless you can confirm from the source you got it from.

I don't think its Classic Edge either because if I remember right, it is a dormant or semi-dormant.. Prickled Petals has what looks like the eye bleeding or shooting up the midrib...

The picture posted is from a smart phone and is a bit blurred. I'm going to have to look at the pictures from my DSLR...

Thanks for the help though. Thank You!

I have 4 spideries/ UFs. One red, one yellow, I'm going to save my typing finger and not post those two, too common. I do have 2 purples to try out with the forum though. Will post when I make it back inside. Hurray!

yes! that is it! was so ugly for me. Frumpy and lumpy and splotchy and never opened right. That was before I knew a thing about dl and ordered it from one of those unscrupulous places (most of those start with "van "bor.." something or another) and I now suspect it was a tissue culture. Moral of story-order from reputable sources!

Is this Calfornia Blues? It is registered at 2.5 but mine is a little over 4". And it's kind of different colors.

Looking at those two photos they look very close, looking at the other photos in the database...I can't even say those are the same.

Lisa,
That looks exactly like mine, but I think have seeds from last year crossed with a diploid. (I think)

Canadian blues was the first thing I thought when I saw it. It is just over 4" too.
Not sure on a couple pictures of it in the database, maybe it is one that can vary with location/ weather/ soil. You could check with your source as California blues and Canadian blues could be an easy mix up.
