Katydid, maybe?

Here's two from our test garden:

So after discussing my peach colored raspberry red eyed & edged NOID with mom, she informed me that we (Mom, Sis and self) purchased Double Trouble (or what was supposed to be) from Edith's Daylilies. She also went on to send a picture of her Double Trouble. Guess what it looks like...

So, when I told mom that her DT wasn't. She was wondering why it wasn't a double and seemed to remember Edith saying something about one that didn't look like what the tag said. (more ). Mom and sis are headed to Edith's tomorrow. I looked in an old catalog and have somewhat narrowed it down to what I think it may be again. Mom remembers the bed it came out of and will be looking closely.

Red mini with vivid green throat.

Your #4 looks like Global Affair which is from 1973. Mine hasn't bloomed yet this year or I'd post a picture. It is very distinctive. Sorry but I don't know about the other ones.

Your #3 Ashton may be Cinnamon Mist. I purchased mine many years ago and its probably a Wild's.

Ashton, would that little red be, Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Little Business')

Looks close but Little Business,has a yellow throat, mine has a gorgeous vivid green throat.

I went through 1,970 something Wild daylilies yesterday to look fortune edge no eye one and came up empty.
I was surprised how many Wild made with an edge no eye.
I saw Cinnimon Mist but thought it was a little different.

WOW, so it does... Looks like I need to get my eyes adjusted.

Kidfishing: your pink reminds me of 'Jolyene Nichole'.

These are the only 2 NOID that I have. The first I got from a neighbor out here. I have had it since 2009. I think it could be a Wild's. I need to look thru all of them I guess and see if I can figure it out. Very hard to describe the color. Pink, salmon, orange depending on heat and lighting. I would say this is an older daylily. The lady who had it was in her 70's.She had once had over 200 varieties before they moved to their small home here. She only brought a handful with her.



This is an outstanding performer, so wish I knew what it is! It was sent as a bonus plant with an order from Gilbert Wild's. It was labeled as Happy Returns but when I submitted the photo to the database they said no it Happy Returns. They said it was too pretty! Though I have seen others post photos looking very very similar labeled Happy Returns. They say mine is showing to much green. But this plant blooms all summer non-stop into fall. It has instant re-bloom. It matches their photo on their web page. Just have to allow for camera, lighting, editing differences. Theirs does not show the green. But look at their photo of Stella and it way to yellow! To the naked eye I do not see as much green as the camera pick up.

How do I find all of those registered by Wild?

Ashton, did you notice 'Advent' when you were looking at all those Wilds?

No I didn't Stan, because there is no picture.

Go to daylilies database and click search by characteristics, then type in Wild as the hybridizer.
