Collecting Tasco's now? Guess I have one or two......

Wow, you guys all dig early.. A little anxious? I'll be digging next month.. but I did get a nice box of lovelies from Debra a couple weeks ago.

Seems I can't help myself. Yes, I seem to be collecting Tasco AND Duncan. What I really need is more space (and time to weed that space).

Sherry - I am with you. I haven't started to dig yet. Been too busy making my new beds before more iris come in.

I still had some clean up to do and figured I could do that and dig at the same time. My job gets very busy during summer(I work in an extremely popular movie theater)and don't have lots of time for digging and shipping until Sept-ish and Oct. Way too late for that sort of thing.

I usually start my digging on July 4th weekend and go until I can't do it (which means into October). I have yet to clean the beds from bloom and already a box has arrived (yes, I wanted them so this is not a complaint; just an observation). I only have 1 1/2 beds done so far (which means I have 7 1/2 to do!).

I got my first box from Arlyn on Wed. Now if it ever stops raining I can go plant them. It's a muddy mess here, we had just under 2 inches of rain last night.

Just came in from unpacking Arlyn's rhizomes. Like Tom I'm waiting for the rain to stop & mud to dry up so I can plant them!
I can also start digging for the others of you who spoke up!
I have Arlyn, Lucy & Lori to go. Did I miss anyone?

I dumped 2 and a half out of our gauge when I got up, Tom, and it's been "misting" ever since. I did get 2 "potted" before it increased to the point my glasses were useless.....and I'm useless without my glasses, so.............planting is on "hold , here, as well .
Glad they arrived so quickly for you, Leon ! I hope you enjoy Folkwang....it's one of my favorites. In my climate, at least, it's good grower, and a quick "clumper".

I just got my Arlyn box too! And I enjoyed the interesting mix of bags the rhizomes are in. Even a Hardee's bag! (Or are they Carl, Jr.'s in IL?)

Leslie, all the Hardee's bags, donut sacks, and Burger King boxes that I "repurpose' for shipping iris.....is the only way I can justify eating all that stuff !!!, But, eating all that stuff has made me TWICE the man I used to be ! Now, somebody needsto start a thread , "What did Arlyn forget to put in the box ?"
