I often wish I had a dog to do patrol duty around the garden. But with this many cats, I'm afraid I'd wake up to find nothing but a collar and a few bits of fur...and a lot of burping cats.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."

My new neighbors have the beautiful white dog (shepherd and husky mix) and a "Silver" lab plus a very furry cat! My other neighbor has a Doberman, a mix breed , and about six cats, they all seem to get along just fine. The dumb Doberman comes flying up to the fence at full speed snarling and growling every time he sees me in the yard, but if I approach him he goes flying back toward the house. Rolling on the floor laughing
The neighbors with the Doberman have a cat named Oliver and he patrols my yard for chipmunks and little critters, it just happens that the new neighbors lab is also named Oliver.
