These plants were donated by my sister-in-law late last summer and these are its first blooms. I don't really grow lilies and don't know anything about what I have. She did not know the name of the plants. I know it is perhaps difficult to identify a plant, particularly a daylily with so many varieties, but hopefully someone will know what I have. I like to have my plants properly labeled.

I think you might be right. The pictures sure do look almost identical. I appreciate you replying, Susan. Is this a pretty common daylily? I am mainly into tropical plants, and my passion is orchids. Lovey dubby

A very common daylily, it can be invasive. Unlike newer more modern daylilies.

Thanks for the information, Ashton. I "box-in" my ginger and canna out in the landscape, and will do the same with these. I have a mixture of daylilies and irises in a corner of my raised garden, so boxing them in will be quite easy.

Also look at 'Flore Pleno' and yes it is very common, I am giving away tons of them. Just noticed this was in the lilies forum, but it is not a lily, but a daylily. Just wanted to clear that up.

Just wanted to add that even though it is very common, with all the others I have , it is still my wife's favorite. She keeps asking if I am giving them all away, and I say no I have plenty more, then she asks again!

I told you straight up, I did not grow these, and I just saw the lily and not the daylily forum. My bad. *Blush*

Seriously! It is no big deal if a daylily lands here once in a while! Smiling

With my lack of knowledge about daylilies and lilies, it is no telling what you will see me post. *Blush* Heck, I still don't know the difference. Sticking tongue out
