The Monster Whites are leafing out but the real winner is the Wretched Mess---they are growing gung-ho!!! All the cuttings that you sent me were put in my wet Flower Foam and the roots are growing out of the foam so it's time to pot all the cuttings you sent me in dirt containers---looks like I could even (possibly) get some flowers this winter!!! Girl, if you want to 'get rid' of any of those "18 other cuttings" you have I will take them and I WILL pay you the postage.

By the way, did you ever have your EE's flower??? Two of mine had 4 flowers altogether-the flowers looked like the ones that Peace Lilies develop. I wasn't sure what to do after the flower stalks 'faded' so I just cut them off. The EE's are at least 5 yrs old and were only about 5' tall. I sent them to someone else for a trade and felt back cutting most of the foliage off but the person who rec'd them was pretty happy with the size that the tubers are and the root systems on them were about a foot long when I sent them out...

Tell Ed that one can never have enuff plants, More, and more, when driving around I'm always looking at private and business gardens and have been seeing quite a few more that are growing brugs within their landscaping!!!

TTYS Big Grin Jan
Happy Gardening!

oh THANK YOU Sally. You don't know how much it means to get positive reinforcement on them. Up until June 2004, what I knew about gardening wouldn't have filled a thimble.. Thanks to all the wonderful people I have met through DG, Cubits, All things plants, I have a vast amount of knowledge running around in my brain. I owe it to so many people.

Well, Cherie,
You've come a long way in a short time. My bad was not watering enough. It took a quite few dead plants to figure that out! That lead to many plant books that I still enjoy going thru in spite of the power of Google. But I too learned more from Dave's and all my new friends than I ever learned form a book :o)

I also found many new must have plants :o)

that and the cold. The older I get the harder it is to handle the cold.

Sinuses draining, had me coughing thought I may as well get up. and do something. I don't know what at 4"30 in the morning but guess I'll figure something out,,

Grinning, I'm not even a late fall planter. A cold wind starts blowing and I am inside!

4:00 am is my favorite time of the day :o)

My sympathy for your sinus. I have it trying to get a hold, but I started taking Zinc and drinking tomato or orange juice and I've kept it down to a little nose blowing.

I'm looking forward to making a wish list and I might even order something this year if I can't grow it myself!

Hiya! Just wanted to pipe in that I am a firm believer in zinc. While all my coworkers have come down with the 'crud' this year, I am getting by with mild sniffles.

As for this weird weather.... Mother Nature just loves to throw us curveballs! ~ Jan
