By grannysgarden

Since this is Celebrating Clematis Week, I thought I would pose a question to all regions that grow and love the plant. How do you pronounce the word "clematis"?

Since this is a free country, I will pronounce "clematis" as I want to. The only important thing is that we grow happy clematises.

Yes, and if you have an inquisitive mind, grow enough so that when you are having garden visitors you can hear how other people pronounce it. The Clematis is such a beautiful and enchanting vine that it does not matter how people pronounce the word. When you look at the blooms all else is just food for thought..... or fodder for a thread. smiles
