One of my grower friends still has a BUNCH of Mixed Strap Leaf Caladium bulbs in his barn. They are absolutely awesome bulbs too!!
Everything from Jumbo's to small Grade #3. There are lots and lots of Nice Jumbo's and Grade #1 bulbs.

These are the boxes I use for shipping our 5 Lb(A box) or 10 Lb(B box) assortments. I'm going to fill them to capacity so the boxes are going to be even heavier!!

You'll be receiving Florida Sweetheart, Gingerland, White Wing, Lance Whorton, Miss Muffet, Red Ruffle and a few more. The Strap Leaf caladiums do not get as tall as the Fancy Leaf varieties do. Wow! I ordered a 10 lb. box of strap caladiums Monday, the 22nd. They were shipped at 3 PM that afternoon. They were on my front porch today, the 24th, at 3 PM! I opened the box and they are beautiful healthy bulbs.

I have a couple of questions.

Will the bulbs be labeled as to variety?

It's too cold to have them stay outside here in the winter. Do you think they would be OK in the basement at about 70* during the cold times?

Leslie, in your climate you will have to dig Caladium bulbs to store over winter; just be sure to remove all leaves and dry the bulbs thoroughly before storing. You can dry them by placing them on wads of paper towels for a few days, turning them every so often to be sure the entire bulb dries, or turn a fan on them to get them dry. Caladiums love warm temperatures so if your basement is not damp and the temp stays at a constant of @ 70º and you can provide good ventilation, they should be fine!

No, the bulbs are not labeled by variety. The only thing I do know is that they are all strap leaf varieties. There are not any of the fancy leaf(the most common ones) varieties in mix.
Only God knows which ones are which and he won't share that info with me. I can tell you they are Really Nice bulbs!! Some of the Jumbo's are Really, Really nice.....lol...
